Radio Frequency (RF) Face Lift

What is RF Skin Tightening?
Radio frequency sound waves are a safe, non-invasive way of tightening loose or tired skin around the forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth, jaw line and jowls and certain areas on the body. This is a great way to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, crepiness and improve skin tone and texture. It is also an excellent treatment for active acne.
How does Radio-frequency work?
The hand piece is slowly rotated over the target area transmitting radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, heating the dermis to between 40 & 50 degrees Celsius without burning the skin surface.
1. Tissue Retraction: The generated heat causes local contraction of the collagen fibers, to immediately tighten the skin.
2. New collagen formation: By heating the dermis, new collagen production is stimulated. This tightening effect is delayed and may take from 3-6 months to be visible.
3. Improved circulation: RF will also improve the blood and lymphatic flow. This helps with a better oxygen supply and greater toxin clearance to further reduce the effects of aging.
4. Active acne is improved through the heat suppressing sebaceous gland activity.
Radiofrequency Skin Tightening will give immediate lifting and tightening effects as well as longer lasting tightening within 3-6 months when new collagen has been produced.
Who is Radiofrequency Skin Tightening suitable for? Radiofrequency is suitable for all clients who are concerned with lifting and firming the skin and refining the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used as a preventative treatment for skin that is starting to show the signs of aging.
How may treatments are recommended?
A course 6 treatments is recommended with treatments every 1-2 weeks. After the course of treatments maintenance treatments are recommended every 4 weeks. Clients with active acne may need ongoing treatments every 2-3 weeks to maintain breakout free skin.
How does it feel?
The client will feel a warm sensation which will slowly get hotter and hotter. Most clients will find the treatments comfortable and even relaxing.
